Desert Botanical Gardens

Whether you want to observe wildflowers, birds, butterflies, lizards, or tortoises in the morning or take a flashlight tour just after sunset, Phoenix’s own Desert Botanical Gardens is the place.

Nestled near the red rock mountains separating Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale, the gardens offer serene beauty and valuable information for every age group, local residents or visitors to the Valley of the Sun.

Check out their website at www.dbg.org for hours, pricing, class schedule, and special events. The Desert Botanical Gardens is the best place in the valley to hear live jazz music.

Liberty Market

Liberty Market claims to have the “Best Chicken Sandwich in the World.” I think most people would agree. Liberty Market is located in the heart of Gilbert, Arizona, just east of the water tower.

Hours Monday ~ Friday 7 am ~ 9 pm Saturday 7 am ~ 8 pm. Great location to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, or to meet friends for coffee or tea. Seating is available inside or outside on the shaded patio.

Owners Joe and Cindy Johnson have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years. They also own Joe’s BBQ and Joe’s Farm Grill.

After your meal take a stroll into some of the local shops and galleries. For more information visit Liberty Market’s website at www.libertymarket.com.
